Delivery Information
MAINLAND ZONE 1 UK DELIVERY
Each item has its own delivery time as stated on the product. Where a product has multiple colour options or variations, please select the variation you require for an accurate delivery timescale. Many of our products are shipped directly from the manufacturer, particularly large items such as furniture. These will be listed as “In Stock”, but may have a longer estimated delivery timescale as they are sent using a specialised courier or from external warehouses.
For orders over £50, we deliver for free! Anything under £50, there will be a £4.95 delivery charge.
Click & Collect – For customers with DT postcodes, you will be given the option to collect your item from our warehouse in Weymouth. You will be contacted when your item is ready to collect.
Express Next Day – Upgrade your shipping option to a next working day service for items in stock in our warehouse. Please note, if the item is not available to be sent immediately, the difference in your postage cost will be refunded and your item sent on a standard service as soon as it is restocked. For express delivery, orders must be placed before midday. If placed after midday, dispatch will be delayed by one working day.
Express Next Day Before 10am – In a hurry? You can also upgrade to our superfast delivery, powered by Parcelforce. Order before midday, and receive your item by 10am on the next working day. For weekend deliveries, please contact our team via phone and we will be able to obtain a quote for you.
Larger items such as prams and nursery furniture often take longer to process and some of our items are made to order. If you need your item urgently, please notify us within the notes section of your order so that we can advise you on an accurate delivery time. For pre orders, please contact us if you need your order sooner than 4 weeks. Many of our items are delivered direct from the manufacturer, therefore we cannot guarantee delivery by a certain date before receiving a shipment notification.
We use Royal Mail, DPD and specialist couriers for deliveries, depending on the weight and size of your item. Tracking information can be provided as we always use a Signed For service. When dispatched on a courier service, you may receive a text or email notification with a 1 hour timeslot on the morning of delivery. Royal Mail reserve the right to leave in a safe place if you are not at home. Liability for the delivery of the parcel ends when the parcel is left in the safe place and noted by the courier. Please specify in advance if you would not like your item to be left in a safe place. For items sent with DPD, a PIN code will be required to confirm delivery. If the PIN code is not provided, only 2 delivery attempts will be made. After this, it will be returned to Baby Birds and a £7.50 admin charge will be required to resend the item.
ZONE 2 & 3 UK DELIVERY
Some postcodes within the UK will incur an additional charge. This is a courier fee and will be subject to a 2-3 day delivery time. All postcodes outside of mainland UK Zone 1 will be affected, including Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland. Your postage will be automatically calculated at checkout. Please note, large items such as coachbuilt prams and furniture deliveries will incur a further surcharge depending on the weight and size of the item. OVERSEAS
Baby Birds are happy to ship worldwide. All overseas orders will be subject to additional shipping costs. Postage is automatically calculated at checkout for items under 30kg and within the Parcelforce weight limit. For larger items, please contact our sales team for a shipping quote prior to paying for your order, or you may incur additional delays. Overseas shipping is not refundable or covered under warranty terms whether the item is faulty or not required. Please note, we are unable to deliver furniture outside of the UK.
BREXIT UPDATE: Baby Birds will not be held liable for any additional customs duties, tariffs or fees payable by your local customs office. Please check the applicable fees with your local office prior to purchase. If the items are returned to us due to unpaid customs fees, the postage costs for that order are still chargeable.
