Product Launch – Silver Cross Dune & Reef
At Harrogate Nursery Fair at the end of 2021, Silver Cross launched a dramatic change to their current collection. Bringing out two new travel systems, Dune and Reef.
Baby Birds have been stockists of Silver Cross since it’s reopening in 2003. We have seen every new pram launch, from the Linear Freeway to the Sleepover, and everything in between! The launch of the Dune & Reef signifies a big change in the catalogue, as these models will completely replace the classic Wayfarer and the best-selling Pioneer.
Luxurious and refined, the Silver Cross Dune and Reef offer the latest engineering, with a one-hand fold that stands alone on their wheels. When unfolding, the handle springs back up into action in one movement. They are strollers designed for the modern parent, with all the latest features and multiple bundle options available. Both Dune and Reef are suitable from birth up to 22kg, so the full lifetime of a stroller. The seat unit lies completely flat with a one-hand release, so can face parent or the world. The ventilated hood benefits from an extended sun visor and UPF50+ fabrics for optimum sun protection.
The outer fabrics of the Dune and Reef are made from eco-friendly materials, with each stroller made up of 35 recycled bottles. Each colour pallette references our landscapes, with plush fabrics and coordinating metal detailing. The handle and bumper bars are made from vegan leatherette.
Perhaps the biggest change to be noticed is the logo! Silver Cross have been a household name since 1877, but in 2022, we have a new SC logo to be featured across the range. It’s contemporary, it’s for the next generation.
Dune
Dune is the more compact of the two, with smaller wheels for urban life. RRP £795. Available in three colours – Glacier, Space, Stone.

First Bed Folding Carrycot
This larger carrycot can fit on the Dune or Reef chassis. It offers an ideal sleep solution from birth to 9kg, especially in combination with the optional carrycot stand. As well as all the features of the compact fold carrycot, the First Bed is approved for overnight sleeping.
Compact Fold Carrycot
Designed for the Dune stroller, the compact fold carrycot saves time and space. The one-hand quick release removes the carrycot from the chassis in a second. It then folds flat onto its base. Perfect for fitting into smaller car boots! As ever with Silver Cross, the carrycot is lined with a beautifully soft bamboo fabric which are antibacterial and hypoallergenic. This along with the sophisticated ventilation system keeps baby at optimum temperature. In line with Silver Cross’ new eco initiatives, the Compact Fold carrycot fabrics are made from 12 recycled bottles.
Newborn Pod
The newborn pod can be clicked into the stroller’s seat unit instead of using a carrycot. A super compact solution, the newborn pod looks like a footmuff, but with added rigidity as well as a head hugger and tummy wrap to keep baby in place. It can be folded in one piece with the seat attached to the chassis.
Vegan Changing Rucksack
Available in 3 colours – black, tan, and cocoa. This rucksack perfectly complements all colours across the Dune and Reef range. It attaches to the handle of the stroller, and has great internal and external storage.
Footmuff
Available in all coordinating colours to match your stroller, the footmuff is designed to fit all the curves of the Dune and Reef. It’s fur lined for optimum comfort, and can be used with the headrest system to grow with your child.
Carrycot Stand
Compatible with the First Bed Folding Carrycot, the carrycot stand is perfect for use at home for naps or overnight sleeping. Ideal for those that like to travel with baby, the stand can be used for the lifetime of the carrycot, which is approximately 6 months. It comes in a gloss black finish with a basket underneath for all your baby essentials.
Ride-on-board
For those with a toddler sibling! The ride on board clicks effortlessly onto the Dune or Reef stroller, instantly transforming your pram into a handy ride for your older one!
Seat Liner
Available in 3 colours – Space, Almond, and Air. This seat liner is reversible, with faux fur on one side, and soft bamboo on the other. It can be used all year round to protect the seat of your stroller from any mess, and for added comfort for your baby. It’s also washable, so practical for parenting on the go!
Snack Tray
Complete with inserts, the snack tray attaches onto the bumper bar of your stroller. A little snack pot and juice bottle fits perfectly into the tray, within easy reach of your little one.
Car Seat Adaptors – Simplicity/Dream or Universal.
Transform your stroller into a travel system with the addition of car seat adaptors. There are two sets, Silver Cross and Universal. The Silver Cross ones are compatible with the Dream iSize or Simplicity Plus car seats, which will also come in coordinating fabrics. The Universal car seat adaptors will enable you to fit a different brand car seat, such as Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, BeSafe etc. onto the chassis of your stroller.
Cup Holder
Who doesn’t love a cupholder? In store, it’s our most-purchased accessory with any pram system! Attaches to the top of the chassis on either side near the handle, away from little hands.
Phone Holder
For the modern parent! The phone holder will attach onto your pram handle bar, so you don’t have those constant baby brain moments thinking you’ve left it behind! Also perfect for holding a conversation whilst pushing the pram. The phone holder will attach to the bumper bar of the pram if you need to keep your little one entertained with a song or video.
