Why bamboo better?
Bamboo is a very fast growing plant and there’s plenty of it.
It’s grown and harvested without the use of pesticides.
That doesn’t mean all bamboo products are brilliant as lots are mixed with nasty chemicals such as melamine and other plastics. Natural bamboo has 100% FSC certified natural bamboo and has a wood grain effect.
It is completely safe for your children.
Bamboo is naturally organic, biodegradable and recyclable.
Bamboo doesn’t stain or get watermarks.
Bamboo doesn’t conduct heat so we are protecting those little fingers too.
Bamboo is non-toxic.
How to look after your bamboo products
Bamboo is hand wash only, it is not suitable for dishwashers, instead wash in warm soapy water.
Hand wash before first use.
Remove the silicone to enable a thorough wash and dry thoroughly before re-assembling. If possible keep the silicone separate when storing – this will enable the bamboo to breathe.
Store in a cool, dry place.
To keep your bamboo in pristine condition, coat the bamboo in a coconut oil with a kitchen towel once a month. For best results leave on overnight. This will stop the bamboo from drying out and will keep it smooth.
Bamboo should not be put in microwaves, ovens, sterilisers, dishwashers or freezers.
Silicone spoon feeders are detachable for cleaning purposes. Please monitor use.
Children should always be supervised when eating and drinking.
